Rights of Patients and Their Relatives

UTILIZING SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS
Receive appropriate services to prevent illness. Receive healthcare equally without discrimination based on language, religion, race, gender, or thought, in all examinations, diagnoses, and treatments. Receive services without discrimination based on the type of illness, time, place of residence, or financial resources.

Obtain information about your health status and how to benefit from existing healthcare services.

CHOOSING AND CHANGING HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS
Choose and receive healthcare services from the selected healthcare institution in accordance with the procedures and conditions stipulated by the legislation.

IDENTIFYING, CHOOSING, AND CHANGING PERSONNEL
Our patients, upon request, have the right to obtain information about the identities, duties, and titles of the physicians and other personnel who will provide or are providing health services to them. With the condition of compliance with the procedures determined by legislation, the patient has the right to freely choose the personnel who will provide healthcare services, change the physician responsible for their treatment, and request consultations with other physicians. When exercising the rights to choose personnel, change the physician, and request consultation, the patient covers any fee difference determined by legislation.

REQUESTING DETERMINATION OF PRIORITY
Receive timely treatment within the specified period.

DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, AND CARE ACCORDING TO MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
Request diagnosis, treatment, and care in line with the requirements of modern medical knowledge and technology.

PROHIBITION OF INTERVENTION OUTSIDE MEDICAL NECESSITIES
Our patients cannot and should not request or undergo anything that could lead to death or vital danger, violate bodily integrity, or reduce mental or physical resistance, without the purpose of diagnosis, treatment, or prevention. Regardless of the reason, the right to life of our patient is inviolable, and no one, even voluntarily, can end their life.

ACCESS TO AND CORRECTION OF MEDICAL RECORDS
Access and obtain information about your health-related information in your records, photocopy them, ask questions, and request corrections.

MEDICAL CARE
Our patients have the right to receive quality health services and in accordance with medical ethical rules from our center operating in line with international quality management standards. According to international standards, patients have the right to benefit from innovations, including diagnostic procedures, at all stages of their illness. They also have the right to protection from pain, suffering, and distress as much as possible, evaluation, and the direction of diagnostic and treatment programs according to their personal needs.

RESPECT FOR PRIVACY
Maintain the confidentiality of personal information, health status, diagnosis, and treatment information, as well as the privacy of your special visitors.

RIGHT TO CONSENT
Be informed and give consent before any surgery or treatment. No medical intervention can be performed for experimental, research, or educational purposes without the ministry's permission and individual consent.

RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT
Object to your treatment or medical intervention, or change your decision and terminate treatment voluntarily during the treatment period.

RIGHT TO SAFETY
Receive healthcare services in a safe environment.

FULFILLMENT OF RELIGIOUS OBLIGATIONS
Fulfill religious obligations and receive psychological support.

RIGHT TO RESPECT
Receive services in an environment that is respectful, attentive, considerate, and provides suitable conditions for health.

VISIT AND ACCOMPANYING RIGHTS
Accept visitors in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by our center's management, allow companionship within legal and possible limits, and, if deemed appropriate by the physician.

RIGHT TO COMPLAIN
Lodge a complaint when harmed and contact the Patient Rights Unit designated for this purpose. Unresolved complaints can be referred to relevant professional organizations and courts in accordance with Law No. 6023 of the Turkish Medical Association.

Patient's Responsibilities

  • Provide us with all relevant symptoms, health history, and information about your illness, including the times you have been at our center.
  • Inform us about the dosage and frequency of the medications you are taking. Specify any over-the-counter drugs, nutritional supplements, herbal products, and/or alternative medicines and treatments you use. Disclose any allergies and reactions to medications.
  • Attend check-ups at the intervals specified by the physician and provide feedback on the progress of your treatment. Adhere to the appointment date and time and report any changes.
  • Follow the treatment plan recommended by the physician responsible for your care.
  • Seek clarification from our staff if you do not understand what they have told you or what you need to do regarding procedures and tests. Also, inform us if you believe you cannot do what is required during your treatment.
  • Acknowledge responsibility if you refuse treatment or do not follow your physician's instructions and fill out the treatment refusal form.
  • Ensure you understand the information provided about the procedure in case surgical intervention is required. Notify your surgeon, nurse, or anesthesiologist if you have any allergies or have had a negative reaction to anesthesia in the past.
  • Respect the rights of prioritized patients and institution staff, assist in matters such as noise reduction and visitor control.
  • Comply with institution rules and regulations that may affect patient care and conditions.
  • Show respect for the belongings of others and our institution.
  • Provide all necessary information about your payments related to your medical care and fulfill your financial obligations to the institution.
  • Contact the Patient Rights Unit when you believe your rights have been violated or if you encounter any problems.
